Always He Remembered

The Savior invites us to always remember Him. This song came from pondering why.

As we strive to keep the commandments the Lord gave us, we can always look to Him for a perfect example of how to keep them. This is especially true when He asks us to always remember Him, as He always, always remembers us.

Always He remembered
To what end He came.
Slain from the foundation!
The Lamb of God!
Redemption’s only name!
Always I’ll remember
That He suffered, bled for me
As He atoned for my sin
And sorrow in Gethsemane.

Always He remembered
And did the Father’s will.
Never once was selfish,
Always looked to bless,
And seeks to bless us still.
Always He remembered
The poor, the lost, the one,
That He came to bring salvation,
To show the Father in the Son.

Always He remembers!
He cannot forget!
We are graven in His hands,
Tokens made as He paid our debt!
Always I’ll remember
That He remembered me
When He made His soul an offering
To save my poor soul willingly.

Gratefully I praise Him
And praise my God who sent
His Son to rescue, cleanse, and heal
Those humble souls
Who faithfully repent.
Always I’ll remember
His love and constancy.
How can I ever thank Him
Enough for all He gave for me?
